In a separate post below I have put the March posted colors for the Take It Further challenge.
So, I've done the pulling of the fabric using the DMC colors and found that I don't have any black fabrics except for one solid. The purple marbled fabric has a little black in it, so I will find a way to incorporate some type of embellishment on that with my black Kona cotton. Perhaps I will finally use my new yo-yo maker; maybe not!
I really LOVE this array of colors - I can't wait to start embellishing! First, though, I must piece the block. Cannot envision yet how I'll do some kind of Easter thing, but surely I will use that dark green for a 4 leaf clover for St. Patrick's Day!
All kinds of different stitches & motifs are running through my head. Wish I could begin today, but I have one block ahead of this project. I received a naked block from my Omaha roomie, Kate, that I must get done first. It is all gold with touches of green and purple. Embellishment is supposed to be done with Victorian colors (no pastels!) so I've already begun with some emerald green fly stitch lace. Will post a picture of it when it's done this week.
