Children of the World Block #4

Children of the World Block #4

Well, it's nice to be BACK!

We had a little get-away-from-the-rain for a week! We drove to sunny Arizona to visit family and friends and to check out the new Sun City that Del Webb is planning out in the desert west of Phoenix, AZ. We were intrigued with the Sun City Lifestyle which we hadn't sampled before.

Evenings while we were gone I worked on this block and now it's back to reality (rain) and....

I'm on to the next one in the series - England - Coming Soon!

I'm going to show my ignorance on this one....you said on your flickr that you did a bunch of colonial knots....what other stitches did you use on this?

I just love your redwork by the way. Lovely stuff.

Wow, these are beautiful! Is a colonial knot different from a French Knot?

sharkeysday: the rest is all stem stitch except for the few lazy daisy stitches on the flowers at the bottom.

a girl from texas: a colonial knot is just a figure 8 wrap around your needle and creates a snugger knot than french knotting where you wrap the thread in one direction around your needle.

Louanne, I liked your cq very much...and your redwork. I am tryig to combine my love of cross stitch(no patience for the big pieces) redwork and cq.....i just know there's a way to put them all on the same piece without going bananas.... will you be uploading any more of your cq?

The comments about RAOK really struck home.....this is the sort of thig that makes the world stay in orbit(IMHO) instead of flying off somewhere into the unknown.

I have just this morning sometime started a blog...there is nothing on it really yet.

Oh, I wanted to know if you wold lilke more redwork patterns? I have tons!
